We are proud to recognize Iryna Kuchma for her exceptional dedication and contributions to the NDLTD community. Serving on the NDLTD Board of Directors since 2011, Iryna has played a pivotal role in promoting open access electronic theses and dissertations (ETDS). Her passionate advocacy has led to the adoption of open access policies that require the deposit of research outputs in repositories, with ETDs being a primary content type.
She has brought invaluable international insights, expertly guiding the planning of the annual NDLTD Symposium of Theses and Dissertations across the globe and expanding partnerships with diverse global organizations. Iryna’s commitment to equity and inclusion has profoundly shaped NDLTD’s activities, ensuring that our initiatives promote knowledge sharing and global participation.
Her continuous and impactful involvement has been the “essential glue” that unifies NDLTD’s wide-ranging initiatives. Her dedication and strategic vision have significantly shaped the growth of NDLTD’s mission.
Iryna works as the EIFL’s Open Access Programme Manager, and is an advisor and board member for numerous organizations in the field.
