Nancy Seamans was the Dean of Libraries at Georgia State University (GSU). Prior to coming to GSU she was Associate University Librarian at the University of Iowa and Director of Instruction, Reference and Outreach at Virginia Tech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Seamans served on the Board of Directors for the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD) from 2009 through 2010, but has been active in the ETD movement since 2001. She was a member of a graduate student panel at ETD 2001; co-authored (with Joan Dalton) a chapter in the ETD Sourcebook; was a co-presenter with Gail McMillan and John Hagen at the 2001 Charleston Conference; and published a 2003 Library Hi Tech article on ETDs. In addition, her dissertation, written at Virginia Tech in 2001 as part of her doctoral program in Instructional Technology, is available as an unrestricted electronic dissertation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Seamans has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech and her master\u2019s degree in library science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
